There are no known risks of using HELIOCARE products during pregnancy and breastfeeding. However, HELIOCARE products are not tested on pregnant and breastfeeding women and for this reason, we would advise you to consult a health or skincare professional before use.

HELIOCARE topical products can be used on infants from the age of 3. However there are HELIOCARE paediatric products which have been specially formulated for use on children from the age of 6 months. Although our guidance is that babies and young children should not be exposed to direct sun.

From the age of 3 children’s skin starts to become less fragile. If you wanted to move onto the other HELIOCARE topical products at this stage, you could do so. Generally, we recommend that you continue to use the paediatric products until the cosmetic feel and look of the products becomes important to your child, and where this may affect their use of the products.

HELIOCARE capsules can be used by children from the age of 4 upwards.

HELIOCARE and HELIOCARE 360° topical & oral products do not contain any animal derived components and therefore are classed as vegan friendly.

For effective protection, apply at least a teaspoon (5ml) of sunscreen to your face and neck – roughly the amount of 2 fingers lengths, and about 2 tablespoons (30ml) for your entire body.

Be sure to apply it 30 minutes before sun exposure and reapply every 2 hours, or more often if you’re swimming or sweating.

Don’t forget easily missed spots like ears, the back of the neck, and the tops of feet and hands. Consistent and generous application is key to maintaining proper protection.

The majority of HELIOCARE products, with the exception of HELIOCARE 360° Mineral Tolerance Fluid & HELIOCARE 360° Pediatrics Mineral Fluid, contain a combination of mineral and non-mineral filters. This allows the highest level of protection in a combination of product textures to ensure that everyone can find a HELIOCARE product that suits their skin perfectly, and that they love to use every morning. 

Our coloured HELIOCARE products are currently best suited for lighter skin tones, typically those in the Fitzpatrick Skin Types I to III range. These formulations offer natural-looking coverage and protection for fair to medium skin tones.
